"And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance" -Lee Ann Womack
Joshua & Lauren met in English Class at Western Oregon University. They were dating 2 1/2 years before the proposal. He proposed at the top of Spanish Peak, on the Pacific Crest Trail, on her 22nd birthday. She is a computer scientist, he's a special educator.
They chose Ron's Pond because they wanted a wedding in a beautiful, secluded, quiet, and peaceful outdoor setting. Ron's Pond certainly delivers that! It was our first time shooting at this venue and we cannot WAIT to go back! The grooms father married them and it was a tear-jerker for all of us. We teased Joshua and Lauren a bit on their wedding day that Joshua was the most smitten groom ever, but quite honestly, it was true. Their adoration for each other was glowing and they had the most joyful, carefree wedding day. Congratulation Lauren & Joshua, we were so honored to be a part of your love story!

Oregon is known for it's majestic beauty, lush green forests, and of course...we can't forget about amazing craft beer. Which made us think....since it's #NationalBeerDay, we need to share some of our favorite images from David and Lindy's fun wedding at Gilgamesh Brewing! This wedding was all about the party - mingling with friends and family, great food, great music...and of course...great beer! Happy Friday!
Kyle & Sheila met while working at Creekside Golf Course In 2008. After a few years of friendship, Kyle and Sheila started dating in 2013. Kyle proposed in May, 2015.
Their vision for their wedding was a rustic barn setting. Kyle and Sheila chose the wedding venue in large part because of the quaint feel of the barn and because Kyle loved the miniature horses and goats. The bridal party consisted of family and long time friends. Sheila met most of her bridesmaids in college and Kyle had worked with three of the groomsmen at Creekside Golf Course (where they met).
The amount of work and effort these two put into their beautiful wedding, featuring home brewed beer as a table centerpiece/party favors was evident. Although Mother Nature had her way with an insanely stormy day, their families pitched in and made the best of it, and we loved the intimate feel of their sweet barn vow exchange.
We enjoyed every minute of their wedding day, and we're pretty sure they had the MOST FUN bridal party ever!

Justin and Amy were married in September at Adeline Farm. The big red barn was the perfect place to dance the night away!
Justin and Amy made their ceremony unique by planting a tree instead of the traditional unity candle or sand. We love that!
Amy's dress might be the most gorgeous dress we have ever seen. We ended the night with an Indian Summer sunset and it did not disappoint!

Remember these guys? Yup, we've done their engagement photos, wedding, maternity, newborn, 1 year old and NOW 2 year old photos for their sweet family.
Every time we see them, its like no time has passed, and we pick up where we left off. Pretty much every session with them is ridiculously fun and we look forward to it all year!
Oregon really blessed us (FINALLY!) with a gorgeous sunny day, and we couldn't have been more thankful! Take a look at sweet Henry's 2 year portraits!
Dianne and Mike came to us through a previous couple of ours, which is so exciting! We love when our couples refer us to their friends!
As soon as you meet Dianne and Mike, you instantly feel relaxed and comfortable, and their sweetness together was so fun to watch. They are planning an intimate wedding at McMenamins Kennedy school in May and the day just can't come soon enough for us! We were so thankful that they were so flexible and willing to wait for a beautiful sunny day to do their engagement photos, and boy did it pay off. Oregon sure likes to surprise us with the weather!
Brittny and Chad have been so sweet and patient as we have had to reschedule their session due to terrible weather. Well, their patience paid off, as we had the warmest/sunniest afternoon we've had all winter!
Brittny and Chad actually hired us over the phone, as they live all the way in Olympia, Washington! Yesterday was our first chance to meet them and get to know them better.
We could tell right from the start how much these two love each other, and they are getting married at one of our favorite venues this September, Green Villa Barn in Independence! We loved that they choose bright colors for their session, it really made them stand out from the lovely scenery. After having so much fun with these guys yesterday, we are even more excited about their upcoming wedding.
Matt & Tessa got married in July at one of our very favorite venues, Log House Gardens in Keizer. They started dating in 8th grade and tied the knot 9 years later! They grew up together, went to every dance together, went to college together and are now spending the rest of their lives together. Their wedding was a sweet mix of whimsical, fun, and rustic elegance, featuring mason jars, logs, a candy bar and delicious cupcakes. We had the best day with Matt & Tessa and their friends and family...we can't wait to see what the future holds for them!

Every bride is unique, and so is their choice for their wedding dress. Its one of our favorite parts of the day - when we get to take a sneak peek in the garment bag and reveal the beautiful dress the bride has chosen for herself. Enjoy a few photos of some of our favorite dresses!
Bree and Ryan tied the knot at Vanderbeck Valley Farm in October of 2016. Their love story is a sweet one... complete with love notes exchanged while getting ready and a milk and cookie bar to end the night. The whole day was perfection!
