Dianne and Mike came to us through a previous couple of ours, which is so exciting! We love when our couples refer us to their friends!
As soon as you meet Dianne and Mike, you instantly feel relaxed and comfortable, and their sweetness together was so fun to watch. They are planning an intimate wedding at McMenamins Kennedy school in May and the day just can't come soon enough for us! We were so thankful that they were so flexible and willing to wait for a beautiful sunny day to do their engagement photos, and boy did it pay off. Oregon sure likes to surprise us with the weather!
We love it when our couples incorporate those special little details in their weddings that tell their unique love story. Patrick and Lindsay did an amazing job of this! We had the pleasure of shooting both their engagement photos and their wedding and boy did they hit it out of the park (see what we did there?)!
This sweet couple met playing softball. When Patrick proposed to Lindsay, he did it in the spot where they had their first conversation- the softball field parking lot. They even chose that very field as the backdrop for their engagement photos!
So naturally, they carried that theme into their wedding. Check out the amazing softball-signing guest book from their special day.
The details didn't stop there! How amazing are these custom Nike's the bride had made in honor of her new last name?
And this floral crown she wore was to die for!
We were all heart-eyes for that bursting color combination of sage green, dusty lavender and plum purple. Just stunning.
Boy were we ever feeling the love with this huge bridal party! There were four groomsman and 12 bridesmaids, who worked hard at decorating this beautiful day for Patrick and Lindsay.
And who could forget their sweet golden retriever, Sly, who played a special part of their special day.
Thanks to Lindsay and Patrick! It was an honor to be part of this gorgeous day!

We are so excited to share another love story with you today! Meet Colten and Michelle! This sweet couple met on a blind date through a mutual friend. The sparks flew so high on that first date that Colten declared to his matchmaking friend he was going to marry that girl!
After a second date with each of their dogs in tow, Michelle said they were "attached at the hip!" Soon they moved in together, and rescued their dane-lab mix, Keira.
Colten followed through with his declaration exactly one year after rescuing Keira, who carried the engagement ring to Michelle on her collar. Of course Keira will be the ring bearer at their vineyard wedding this summer.
We had so much fun with them on this dreamy sunset engagement session. And oh what a romantic, rustic setting! Congratulations Michelle and Colten! We can't wait to capture your special day!
One thing the two of us never grow tired of is seeing couples through so many stages of their lives. We've photographed friends, and become friends with those we photographed. It really is the best job in the world to us.
For a lot of the couples we know, our journey together starts with engagement photos. This past spring we photographed Gabe and Melissa's engagement session, and three weeks ago we captured their wedding in Bend.
Enjoy some of their chilly spring photos (where they obviously had no problem snuggling to keep warm!). Stay tuned for the photos from the next stage - the wedding!
Recently, we came across a story of a very public proposal between two very public people. A heavy metal rock star and an actress, to be more precise (and now you can all Google it if we didn't already give it away). Anyway, while it was a wild proposal by a wild fellow (and there was just a little cursing involved), something about the story touched us. He brought his gal up on stage with her two kids in tow. He asked for her hand, but then she asked him, "Will you love my children forevermore?"
He said yes.
One of the things that is so beautiful about weddings is not just the coming together of two people, but of two families. And in many love stories, this includes kiddos.
Rick and Jenna may not be heavy metal thrashers, but they are rock stars in each others' eyes. And this past weekend, Jenna married Rick - and his adorable daughter. We had the joy of photographing their engagement session as well as the wedding, which included this very photogenic little girl...
Congrats to these two rockin' lovebirds - may you love each other, and that gorgeous little girl - forevermore in you new little family!
Do you find yourself watching endless hours of HGTV swooning over well-designed rooms...only to turn off the TV and be suddenly staring at reality: empty walls, ugly paint and perhaps a myriad of toys/books/mail strewn all over the place? We can help!
Ok, so we can't help with paint color and fabric design. Or forcing your kids, spouse or self to pick up. And we actually won't come organize a darn thing. BUT we can help with beautiful, perfectly arranged memories to hang on your walls!
Hey, it's a start.
We LOVE canvas prints, and right now we're offering a stellar deal on professional canvas prints. Even better, we've put together canvas packages with a handy-dandy guide on how you might arrange these memories. And EVEN BETTER THAN THAT, if you order one of these packages and mention this blog post, we'll give you an additional 11x14 canvas for FREE!
Order a set now and put together memories from your wedding, I Still Do, engagement, maternity, newborn or family sessions from us. Or mix and match with all your memories! Remember to mention this post for that additional 11x14 canvas for free! And a free canvas isn't something either of the Property Brothers is going to give you, no matter how many times you watch them. :)
